What is a natural duvet?

Natural duvet is a popular term describing duvet or quilted duvet made entirely from organic raw materials. Natural duvets include all with cover made of 100% pure natural cotton or organic 100% cotton filled with: goose down and duck down, cotton fibers, maize and bamboo fibers as well as silk and wool fibers. The most popular natural quilts are those made of down and feathers, as well as a mixture of down and feathers with 100% cotton or percale outer cover.

Although natural duvets are synonymous of ecology and do not contain any synthetic fibers or additives, they will not always be the best choice. Natural duvets are not intended for allergy sufferers, people with sensitive skin and those who are allergic to mites, feathers, corn or wool (fur). Despite of the not direct contact with the allergen when using natural quilts, it is not worth risking deterioration of health and exacerbation of the effects of allergies. Some types of wool duvets (merino) will also not be a good solution for people who can not tolerate their specific smell. Natural duvets are also not cheap. Their price is several times higher than the prices of equivalent duvets made of synthetic materials.
