What is a duvet?

The quilted duvet is stitched together two rectangular or square fabric layers of with inserted inside filling. Duvet filling has an insulating function, that is, it keeps temperature of the covered human body. The quilt cover is usually made of cotton fabric or polyester / synthetic fibers fabrics. Duvet can be filled with down, feathers and other organic inserts or the most popular synthetic silicone fibers in form of balls, straight or twisted fibers. A characteristic feature of quilts is the quilting of their surface in order to maintain an even distribution of inserted filling on the surface of a quilt.
