Oeko-Tex 100 is a certification system for textile products that has direct contact with human skin. The system was developed by the Oeko-Tex Organizations and consists in labeling the Oeko-Tex® standard with products tested for the presence of 100 most hazardous substances regarding to REACH (EU) and ICPSIA (US) safety standards. The certification system is divided into classes, the most restrictive is marked as class 1 and the minimum class 4. The label with the Oeko Tex standard is the most recognizable synonym of high quality raw materials used in the production of all textile products.

As part of the certification, the Oeko-Tex organization allows the study of raw materials and textile products made in accredited laboratories in Europe and around the world. Products certified by Oeko-Tex standard 100 are free from substances having an adverse effect on the health of children and adults, eg. heavy metals, forbidden nitrogen dyes, pesticides, chlorophenols, formaldehyde and dyes and auxiliary substances causing allergies.
