What is it renforcé cotton?

Renforce cotton (fr. renforcé) is the trade name of a 100% cotton fabric with a plain 1:1 basic/simple weaves, most commonly used for the bedding set production. Cotton renforcé is characterized by high durability and is pleasant to the touch, which makes it the most popular raw material for the production of bedding. No less important is the fact that it is perfectly suitable for printing, which allows you to create one and multi-colored beautiful patterns of bedding.

The renforce cotton fabric is most often made of pure cotton with a basic plain weave, 1x1 report and a density TC 57 (57 threads per 1 dm²) corresponding to 145 threads per 10 square inches. The term “cotton renforce” is often used as a synonym for high-quality cotton, which results from it’s dense weaving and thus the thinner and finer cotton fibers used in the production. Renforce cotton with the parameter TC => 57 is pleasant to the touch and gives the impression of being soft and smooth. It is worth remembering that the term “renforcé” refers to the type of fabric and not its quality. Without the TC parameter know it’s not possible taken as a rule that “cotton renforce” means the fabric better or worse.
